In order to keep this sandal looking its best, it will require some extra care. This drawback may not appeal to all buyers. The manufacturer sells a kit that includes a brush, cork sealer, cleaner, and repellent which helps prolong the life of the sandal. The kit is approximately $20 in addition to the sandal being $99.95 plus tax and shipping. The first pair was difficult to keep clean because I didn’t have the recommended products necessary to keep them looking their best. I purchased the kit for my second pair; applying the products greatly improved the appearance. The custom-fit only comes after the cork footbed has conformed to the shape of your foot which takes time. Blisters may appear on your feet while you are in the process of breaking in the sandal. The manufacturer provides a conversion chart (EU to US) to determine what size you should consider. In my shopping experience for Birkenstock styles, I found the fit to be true to size. I would recommend the Birkenstock Arizona sandal because the custom fit is well worth the purchase price. This sandal will last many years instead of one or two seasons. I think it is one of the best sandals because of the long-lasting quality and comfort associated with the Birkenstock name
